What's the difference between CBD & CBG?

Cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabigerol (CBG) are two compounds that can be found in hemp and cannabis plants. While they are both cannabinoids, they have different effects on the body and offer unique benefits.

CBD is more commonly known and has gained widespread popularity as a natural remedy for many ailments. It is typically extracted from hemp plants. Unlike THC, another compound found in cannabis, CBD is non-psychoactive and won't give you a "high" feeling.

CBG, on the other hand, is not as well-known and has only recently gained recognition. Like CBD, it is a non-psychoactive compound that can be found in hemp plants. However, CBG has been found to have a more direct effect on the body’s endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for regulating many physiological and cognitive functions.

One of the main differences between CBD and CBG is that CBD is typically found in higher concentrations in hemp plants, while CBG is usually found in much lower concentrations. This can make CBG products more expensive than CBD products.

Both CBD and CBG are offering benefits to consumers all around the world, and scientists are continuing to research these compounds to unravel their potential benefits. While CBD might be more commonly known, CBG is gaining recognition for its different effects on the body’s endocannabinoid system. Ultimately, the choice between CBD and CBG comes down to which benefits you are looking to experience.
